By-elections for vacant positions on AVEQ’s 2018-19 executive team are now underway. If you are considering running for a position, here is some information to help you prepare your candidacy. You can submit your candidacy by clicking on the link above.
September 5th at 9 AM: Nominations open. Candidacies will be submitted through email.
September 19th at 11:59 PM: Nominations close.
September 21st: Interviews and elections by AVEQ’s Members’ Assembly
September 24th – October 1st: Work start date
Exceptionally, any person who had student status at a Quebec university during the 2017-2018 academic year can be a candidate.
Candidates must submit a proof of student status during the 2017-2018 or 2018-2019 academic year, a CV, and a cover letter, and must agree to abide by the Electoral Policy as well as the Executive Policy.
There are three positions open on the executive team of AVEQ
- Associative Affairs Coordinator – Graduate Studies
- Institutional Affairs Coordinator

Members of the Executive Committee are expected to work an average of 30 hours a week. The positions can require an irregular work schedule, as well as travel across Quebec.
Members of the Executive Committee are paid an annual wage of $25,000, and benefit from AVEQ’s group insurance.
